Coming Together
Adopt a Family South Hills was started in 2016 by a mom with a goal. As a past sponsor, adopting families in need during the holidays, she saw the real need in the community to keep this program alive. Now, we have more than tripled our initial outreach in the last six years and hope to continue that growth indefinitely.
Our goal is to help families, who may be having a hard time making ends meet, experience the joy of Christmas. We are working to unite all members of our local South Hills communities with a common cause.
In 2016, we were able to help 29 local families. In 2022, we helped 137 families! This included over 400 children from 3 months to 22 years old. We have come a long way in such a short time. Families were provided with gifts for each member of the family as well as gift cards to various grocery stores, restaurants, and family activities. This wouldn't be possible without our organization leaders, Tracy Ford, Diane Ford, and Erin Bellanca, tireless volunteers, and generous sponsors.
Adopt a Family is a certified 501(c)(3) organization. A receipt will be given for all donations, which are tax deductible.
